As about language, we speak romanian and russian, in some places you can find some people speaking english but low percentage. Our local currency is Leu and you can exchange euros, pounds or dollars into lei in the city, also at the airport ofcourse. As about getting arround it all depends where are you going. Some places are easy to reach by public transport - marshutka, while for some it's required that you have own transport (for example in Milestii Mici is compulsory to come with a car because you drive in the cellars!). In the capital trolleybuses are very easy and cheap to use. Also the easiest way to get around if you can't be bothered is to just book a tour or get a guide ofcourse

Also take note that Moldovan Leu won't be possible to use in Transnistria, only Transnistrian ruble which you can easily exchange to in Tiraspol, and you will not be able to use your credit or debit card there, you will have to bring cash (Moldovan, American or Euro) before entering the territory!
