Sean Payton could have performed a victory dance after NFL owners voted to expand replay Tuesday night. He didn’t.Or at least not in his post-vote interviews.“I think it’s more about the football element [than a personal victory]
From China Bobby Evans Jersey ,” said Payton, a member of the Competition Committee. “Honestly, when you’re on this Committee, you really try to look more toward the history of the game. I just pulled up copies of what was the 6B, 6A, all these other [proposals] we’re not using to look at some day and be like, ah, these are the ones that didn’t pass. I think it’s more of that ‘owe it to the game’ that we have responsibility, and really, I mean that. This isn’t going to be perfect always, and we know that. The mere shape of the ball tells you it’s not going to bounce the same way. But these are fouls that the analysts are able to point and say, ‘Hey
Long Sleeve Bobby Evans Jersey , they’re the most impactful fouls.’ I think we got it right.”The Saints coach spoke up Monday when it appeared owners might do nothing to expand replay. He warned that if the league didn’t make a change to address the non-call in the NFC Championship Game “then ownership is saying they’re comfortable with what happened.”After much back and forth — Payton said they went “around the Grand Canyon” in their discussions — coaches convinced owners to pass a one-year trial expanding reviewable plays to include offensive and defensive pass interference, called or not on the field. “I think one of the challenges was the amount of proposals that we were discussing,” Payton said. “If we’re discussing five different items in the menu, it’s hard to get focused. This one, pretty much after the a.m. meeting, we went back in as a Committee and really started hashing through. We didn’t like with one of them what we did like with the other. Coaches met for a long time yesterday. I thought we had great discussion. Really, essentially after that meeting at lunch time, we felt this was going to be one. We didn’t want games ending with coaches throwing challenges on Hail Marys and all of that. We were respectful of how we watch a game today. We had the ability within the system [to fix it]. We know [coaches have] two challenges, and if you get them right, you have a third and you’re north of two minutes and you feel like there’s been a foul, you can challenge that. South of two minutes, the replay official takes on that responsibility. I think it fit with a system we know and a system the fans know. Obviously there are certain calls it doesn’t address
Bobby Evans Jersey nfl draft , but at least we can begin to look at this as we move forward. I think everyone was excited that we arrived at a good answer.” Are you tired of winning? I’m not.And I’m sure the Los Angeles Rams aren’t either. After traveling on the road for three weeks, the Rams returned home to play against a dominant QB in Aaron Rodgers and a solid team in the Green Bay Packers. The game turned out to be a nasty, gritty, and close win as the Rams ultimately found a way to get it done - again.Let’s take a look at the stock report:Stock DownCB Marcus PetersAfter stringing together two or three solid games, Peters’ roller coaster ride continued. Davante Adams burned Peters for three massive gains on the day totaling five receptions for 133 yards on the day. Hopefully we can chalk this up as a rough day and expect a bounce-back week for Peters as he’ll likely see his fair share of star WR Michael Thomas next Sunday.OLB Samson EbukamEbukam was relatively invisible yesterday. Although his motor never stops and his speed can’t be replicated, the Rams’ edge rush is simply lacking. If it’s not one guy it’s the other.Offensive LineThe offensive line actually bounced back in the second half to balance out what was a very rough first half, but I’ll still jot them down here. Goff was sacked five times on the day and pressured multiple more. The running game was non-existent in the first half as well. I wouldn’t knock them too hard though. Like I said, the second half was a big flip for the big uglies upfront as they got the ground game humming and Goff worked his way to nearly 300-yards passing and three passing touchdowns.Stock UpDT Aaron DonaldThe freak continues to alter gameplans and dominate opponents. AD was all over Aaron Rodgers yesterday living in the Packers backfield all game long. He notched another two sacks on the day bringing his total to 10 sacks on the season (unreal). He also had multiple pressures and QB hits that forced Rodgers to throw the ball early and errant. Donald has been worth every single penny thus far.RB Todd GurleyEven though there wasn’t much space for Gurley to run in the first half, he made his impact felt in the second. Gurley finished the day with 25 carries for 114 yards on the ground and six receptions for 81 yards and one touchdown receiving. Gurley essentially grinded the game out with a massive run on a pitch that closed out the game, but not only that, he had the situational awareness and unselfish behavior to go down instead of scoring a touchdown and giving the Packers the ball back.WR Josh ReynoldsTalk about stepping up, that’s exactly what Josh Reynolds did. With WR Cooper Kupp missing another game
Bobby Evans Los Angeles Rams Jerseys , Reynolds was relied upon needing to step up. Even though he only had three receptions for 42 yards, he made the most of his opportunities with two out of those three catches ending in touchdowns. Having a fourth body like Reynolds at the receiver position must provide the Rams’ offense with much comfort.CB Troy HillThis may be weird for some, but I thought Hill was relatively solid all game outside of one blunder that costed him pretty big. On that snap, Hill tried to press the WR (Marquez Valdes-Scantling) at the line of scrimmage and missed miserably. It gave the WR an easy release and big separation right off his release and it turned out to be a 40-yard touchdown. Outside of that snap, his coverage was solid and Peters was actually the cornerback that Rodgers targeted.DT Ndamukong SuhNdamukong Suh had himself a terrific game yesterday, probably because he and Aaron Rodgers aren’t exactly in a love affair. There was a specific pressure where Suh made sure he laid a good hit on Rodgers tossing him to the floor. Also, he was the key cog in making sure the safety happened occupying blockers and opening up a big gap for Mark Barron to make a big hit and securing the tackle.P Johnny HekkerEven though Hekker didn’t really look like himself on a punt or two, he had a few that were classic Hekker punts too. The punt that was downed by former Packer CB Sam Shields was obviously a big play and a game-changer for the Rams as it sparked the scoring and swung the momentum the Rams’ way.
