Among the free agents, the Bills addressed their offensive line by signing Mitch Morse, Quinton Spain, Ty Nsekhe, Spencer Long, Jon Feliciano, and LaAdrian Waddle. Wide receivers John Brown and Cole Beasley and tight ends Tyler Kroft and Lee Smith were signed to give Josh Allen more weapons, while Frank Gore and T.J. Yeldon were added to boost the running back room.All-Pro return ace Andre Roberts was signed to bolster the woeful return game

Gaines and Kevin Johnson were brought in to provide valuable depth in the secondary, and Eli Harold was signed to add another situational pass rusher. With all of the fresh faces and the quality of talent added to the Bills’ roster, ESPN NFL analyst Field Yates and national NFL writer Kevin Seifert have declared the Bills the most-improved team during the offseason. Here’s what Yates and Seifert had to say about Buffalo’s offseason: Yates: “They’ve been the team I’ve most focused in on this offseason throughout our variety of roundtables. General manager Brandon Beane and his staff have a clear pattern on how they want to build this roster, and I thought this offseason was productive in not just adding starters but also building competition across the roster. Between at least two new offensive line starters, two new starting wide receivers, their likely two top tight ends, backfield depth, an elite defensive line talent in Oliver and more, Buffalo made major strides.”Seifert: “I love the depth and variety of players the Bills have assembled on both sides of the ball. They’ve put some really productive receivers around quarterback Josh Allen, most notably Cole Beasley and John Brown, and made a big move to add center Mitch Morse. Rookie defensive tackle Ed Oliver will enhance an already nasty defense. It all comes down to Allen. If he can make the kind of progress we normally expect from the first to second year, the Bills are a playoff team.” The obvious answer isn’t always the best one...but it might be the safest bet" OpinionNotesWho will lead the Buffalo Bills in sacks?New
Womens Ed Oliver Jersey ,25commentsThe obvious answer isn’t always the best one...but it might be the safest betEDTThe Buffalo Bills increased their team sack total from 2017 to 2018; however, the total number still placed them in the bottom-third of the league overall. The team was 30th in sacks during head coach Sean McDermott’s first season, amassing only 27 sacks in 2017. While they added a few more in 2018, totaling 36, that overall number was still only 26th in the league. It’s been three whole seasons since the Bills had an individual player make it to double-figures in total sacks, with then-33-year-old Lorenzo Alexander coming out of nowhere to lead the team with 12.5 in 2016. Since then, Buffalo’s single-season leaders have totaled four sacks (Jerry Hughes and Shaq Lawson, 2017) and seven sacks (Hughes, 2018). Those totals are clearly too low for a defense that has as much talent as Buffalo’s does.In 2019, the team added little to the front seven when compared to the resources poured into other parts of the roster. Veteran defensive tackle Kyle Williams retired, and he was replaced by first-round draft pick Ed Oliver. Otherwise, all of the major players up front remain the same
Cody Ford Jersey , so the Bills will look to capitalize on players becoming more comfortable with the scheme (and with each other) than on a fresh influx of talent when creating sacks.Given the roster makeup, the obvious choice to lead the team in sacks is Hughes, Buffalo’s top pass rusher for the better part of the last few years. Hughes has averaged a modest seven sacks per season over his time in Buffalo, and he’s led the team in three of his six seasons. In the other three seasons, he’s been either second or third. The great likelihood is that Hughes will either lead the team in sacks or be in the conversation for the whole season.Alexander is a dark-horse candidate, though his prowess as a pass rusher wouldn’t make him a tremendous long shot. Alexander was second on the team in sacks last year with 6.5, and while he has transitioned quite well to an off-the-ball linebacker, defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier still unleashes him often as a pass rusher in obvious passing situations. Alexander is a good bet to reclaim his mantle as the team’s sack leader. If you’re looking for longer odds, how about going with the rookie? If Ed Oliver can exploit gaps like he did in college, making him the wrecking ball that McDermott envisioned when the Bills selected him, then the Bills’ defense should see a huge uptick in sacks. Of course, Oliver will see much greater competition than he did while with the University of Houston
https://www.thebillslockerroom.com/authentic-devin-singletary-jersey , but he’ll also have better teammates around him. Star Lotulelei should eat space to his left while Jerry Hughes commands double-teams to his right, forcing offenses to pick their poison with Buffalo’s defensive front.Another possible sack leader is whichever player earns more time opposite Hughes at defensive end. Last year, Trent Murphy and Shaq Lawson split time—literally, as they both played an identical number of snaps (440) on the season—and whether that was by design or due to Murphy’s injury recovery, it helped to keep both players fresh. If one of them is able to take control of the snaps from the early goings, he could be the one to lead. My money is actually on Lawson rather than Murphy. Lawson is younger, has a shorter injury, and will look to show that the Bills made a mistake in declining his fifth-year option.Which player do you think will lead the Bills in sacks?
